Yashowardhan Kauns is a self-taught artist with more than ten solo exhibitions to his credit, which were held in some of the prestigious art galleries of Mumbai and other cities of India. His art shows have always been a great commercial as well as critical success. After initial success, he participated in the Business India Exposition and moved to the commercial world of art. Since then he has worked with many renowned architects and interior designers.
Other than usual canvas and paper art, Yashowardhan also works as a muralist and wall painting artist and has number of wall paintings to his credit from Toronto, Canada.
Technically, he works in various mediums, namely, water colour, oil and charcoal but his main medium of expression has been acrylic and isograph pen-ink. Apart from the usual brush strokes, many of his works show the uncommon technique of “Stippling” – an effect achieved through a brush, a pen or any other tool to create an image, which is made of numerous dots (stipples). The overall dispersion and concentration of these dots create the mesmerizing effect of tones and shades.
He works in all art genres.
Academically Yashowardhan holds a post-graduate degree in Life Sciences and a post-graduate diploma in Indian Aesthetics. His visual inclination has further extended into the art of film making, where he has graduated in film production (honors) from the well-known Vancouver Film School, Canada and has a number of short films and a documentary to his credit.
He lives in Toronto, Canada.
Yashowardhan’s clienteles include a wide range of business and private art-collectors from various cities of India and abroad.
He has worked with the renowned architects, interior designers and giant business firms of India. His works have been sold in Australia, United States, South Africa, Dubai and Canada (where he resides).
